Day 1:Ngorongoro/Arusha & Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast return to Arusha with a picnic lunch, on arrival drive to Kilimanjaro airport where you will board your Precision Air Scheduled flight to Zanzibar departing at 13:15. On arrival at 14:35 you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your Hotel – Serena Inn.
Day 2: Zanzibar Stone Town Tour
Start your day by exploring Stone Town. Follow your guide and learn about the events that shaped Zanzibar as you see the places relevant to its history such as the former Slave Market and the Anglican Cathedral. See the House of Wonders, the Sultans’ Palace Museum, the Old Arab Fort and Dispensary. During the first part of the tour, you will explore the markets and see the children play in the streets of the residential areas as their mothers sit outside and the men play board games.
Later, you will visit a spice farm. Touch, smell and taste different spices and tropical fruits. Try to guess which is which, from the crushed leaves, the fruits, shoots and vines and creepers crawling up the trees. Learn about their properties, their origins and their use as medicine and in food and drink. Get an insight into local life and the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes, taste the fruits in season and try some spiced tea. You will have lunch in town before driving north of the island. Overnight Ras Kutani.
Dec. 03rd, 04th & 05th Zanzibar
You have 3 full days at leisure, meals will be included.Overnight Ras Kutani.
Dec. 05th Fly Zanzibar/Arusha/Depart
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport where you will board your Precision Air scheduled flight departing at 11:40, you will arrive Dar es salam at 12:10 where you will have to spend 1 hour before you start boarding process ( You can have lunch within the airport while waiting to depart for Arusha) You will depart for Arusha at 14:00 arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport at 15:25. On arrival you will be collected from the airport and transferred to KIA lodge where a day room will be provided until 18:40, when you will transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport, the drive from the lodge to the airport is only 5 minutes.
