One of the stun of Eastern Circuits of Tanzania is the Saadani National park. Saadani is one of the newest national parks which have some unique features compared to all other national parks of Tanzania.

Established in 2005, the park used to be a forest reserve earlier and basking along the Indian Ocean shores.

This is the only park in Tanzania where no one can go for game drives, swim on the beach, and watch the sunset on the beaches. Meet some rare species of sea turtle in Saadani. You can see their eggs laid in the beaches that are proving their existence.

Meet some iconic species in the national park that includes; yellow baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys, sable antelopes, warthogs, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, Nile monitors, lions, African bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, and leopards.

Getting There

The drive from Arusha to the Serengeti is about 325km/202mi and will take about eight hours. Hence the best option to get there is to fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport. Domestic and charter flights between parks are usually booked by tour operators.
