Park’s spectacular scenery With the rainforest spreading across rolling hills, valleys and mountains and a number of impressive waterfalls, including Sanje Waterfalls, the highest waterfall in the National Parks system in Tanzania, the park offers a scenic beauty that has no match in the world.

Wildlife Udzungwa National Park supports a diverse, large mammal community including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, african wild dog, eland, waterbuck and sable. Six species of primate are found here with two are endemic, the Iringa (Uhehe) Red Colobus monkey, and the Sanje Crested Mangabey. Udzungwa has the richest forest bird habitat in Tanzania.
Best time to visit Visit is possible year round although slippery in the rains. The dry season is June-October before the short rains but be prepared for rain anytime.
